What is Vipr Wallet?

Vipr Wallet is a Fedimint wallet PWA that lets you receive Bitcoin, hold Ecash in a federation, and pay Lightning invoices or onchain Bitcoin from your browser.

What is Fedimint?

Fedimint is a Bitcoin system where a group of trusted servers manages shared funds instead of a single company or custodian. It uses Ecash for private and fast payments, supports Lightning, and can also work with onchain Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals.

What is Ecash?

Ecash is digital cash issued by a mint. The idea goes back to David Chaum and his early digital cash work, which was later implemented through Ecash and DigiCash . In Fedimint, Ecash enables fast Bitcoin payments with improved privacy inside a federation.

Lightning is a Bitcoin payment network for instant, low-cost payments between wallets, apps, and services.
